About the Ample group
An artist dabbing in music and painting and a background in graphic design, Fabian De La Flor forms The Ample Group in 2003 along with his wife Khristine Peralta. Originally Ample was conceived as a depository for design projects the couple would undertake on freelance basis, but the Ample mission began to evolve. Slowly Ample became the creative space where Fabian's artistic expressions came to live. Now The Ample Group's mission is to bring cultural awareness to the public through art & design.
Fabian De La Flor was born in Lima, Peru. He currently lives and works in Miami, Florida. De La Flor attended Miami Dade College and began studies in graphic design, then obtained a BFA from Miami International University of Art and Design. While attending Miami Dade College, the artist was hired by The Miami Heraldl as a graphic/web designer, where he has been working since the year 2000. Thru this time period the artist has created a rich personal portfolio of emotionally charged drawings/paintings. A visible influence can be seen from the work of the great Austrian expressionist painter Egon Schiele as well as the work of excentric artist/cartoonist Ralph Steadman, Robert Crum and Maxom Crum. De La Flor's ideas, feelings, trends and styles are documented thru his figures. The artist states that in their line quality one sees a timeline, as if seeing a chronological timeline of photographs of the artists own life.
